Battle Foam P.A.C.K Molle Accessories Review
|Time for a look at the P.A.C.K. Molle Accessories from Battle Foam, a range of additional pouches and bags that allow you to customise your army bag to create the perfect storage and transport solution for your army. Each of these accessories is designed to attach to the outside of Battle Foam bags that use the molle system, which include the P.A.C.K 432 and P.A.C.K 720 which we previously reviewed.
Battle Foam kindly sent us one of each of their P.A.C.K. Molle Accessories in black for this review, as you can see below.
We’ll start with the Grenade Pouch, a P.A.C.K. Molle Accessory that allows you carry small items like a phone, tape measure …or grenade I guess?! The dimensions of this pouch are 4W x 1L x 5H” (100W x 25L x 127H mm) and its priced at £9.60 ($11.99). Its made from the same durable material as the army transport bags we’ve seen from Battle Foam and has the brand embroidered on front.
On the back we can see the straps that will allow the Grenade Pouch to be attached to your Battle Foam transport bag, each strap is secured with a snap fastener/press stud.
To give you an idea of what can be fit into the Grenade Pouch, here’s a chunky rubberized tape measure for scale (we didn’t have any grenades handy). Inside the Grenade Pouch there is a thin layer of padding to protect whatever you put inside.
The idea behind the Grenade Pouch and other Accessories we’re reviewing today is that you can attach them to the outside of your Battle Foam bag using the Molle System. You can slide the straps on the back of each accessory through the loops on the outside of Battle Foam bags and then refasten them, creating a custom storage solution that can be altered as required by adding and subtracting various accessories.
Here you can see we’ve added our Grenade Pouch to the side of our P.A.C.K 432 Molle Army Bag. Once we attached the Grenade Pouch using the molle system, we found it was very secure, it’s not loose or in any danger of coming unattached easily.
This one is the Ditty Bag, a P.A.C.K. Molle Accessory designed to provide useful storage for gaming accessories or anything else you may need while traveling with your army. The dimensions are – 8W x 3.5L x 5.5H” (203W x 88L x 140L mm) and the Ditty Bag is priced at £15.60 (19.99$).
On the back we’ve got 4 straps designed for us with the molle system, to keep this securely attached to your army bag.
As you can see this one is a lot bigger than the Grenade Pouch, perfect for storing any gaming accessories you’ll need for a game. Here we’ve thrown in a tape measure, cube of dice, a set of templates for Warhammer 40k, and there’s still plenty of room left for more.
Here’s the Ditty Bag attached to our P.A.C.K 432 Molle Army Bag.
Here’s the Catch All, a P.A.C.K. Molle Accessory that can fill a variety of roles, but we’ve found it to be a particularly good place to keep mini rule books. The dimensions are – 7.5W x 8L x 1H” (190W x 203L x 25H mm) and its priced at £15.60 ($19.99)
On the back we’ve got 3 straps for the now familiar molle system.
The Catch All opens at the top with a flap that is secured by both Velcro and a snap fastener.
Here you can see we’ve attached our Catch All to the rear panel of our P.A.C.K 432 Molle Army Bag, a great place for our Warhammer 40k mini rulebook.
The Utility Pouch is a P.A.C.K. Molle Accessory that doubles up as its own bag that can be detached from your army bag ad carried separately. The dimensions are – 6.5W x 7L x 2.75H” (165W x 178L x 70H mm) and it’s priced at £12 ($15.99). It comes complete a shoulder strap that can be hooked onto loops on the sides of the Utility Pouch when you desire to carry it separately.
On the back of the Utility Pouch are 2 straps for use with the molle system.
The Utility Pouch is filled with many pockets for carrying many different items. On the front you can see an area secured with a velco flap which looks like it could hold a couple of marker pens or similar, a slot next to that for a normal pen, plus a small zippered area for something flat like some cards or notes.
Here you can see the largest area of storage in the middle of the bag, which is secured by a zipper. Within this area is another zipper allowing to access a small additional storage space.
Towards the back of the Utility Pouch is yet another area of zippered storage!
Here you can see the Utility Pouch in action attached to the side of our P.A.C.K 432 Molle Army Bag using the molle system. Once you’ve arrived to an event with your army, you can then detach the Utility Pouch, attach the shoulder strap and carry it with you.
This last accessory is definitely one of our favourites. The Media Pouch is a P.A.C.K. Molle Accessory designed to offer additional storage for tablet computers or similarly sized items such as small books and notes/army lists. The dimensions are – 10.5W x 1L x 8.5H” (267W x 25L x 216H mm) and it’s priced at £19.20 ($24.99). On the front of the Media Pouch is a zippered area plus a large Velcro area which can be used to personalize your bag with the addition of patches.
The rear of the Media Pouch contains 6 straps for use with the molle system, so this thing is going nowhere once its attached.
The zippered area on the front will be useful for flat items like paperwork and templates.
The main inside area includes a thin layer of padding for added protection, and feels like the neoprene material we’re used to being used for tablet bags. This is a great place to store a tablet computer like an iPad, especially with more and more rule books being released in PDF format. It looks like it should hold anything upto and including 10 inch tablets.
Here you can see the Media Pouch in action on the side of our P.A.C.K 432 Molle Army Bag, its a real nice fit here, it doesnt stick out much at all and will keep our tablet safe.
There’s some great options for customising your Battle Foam bag here, allowing you to create a solution that works for you and your particular needs. You can also swap accessories in or out between each session allowing you to have one main case that will always do what you need it to do. Most army bags and cases are designed to carry only your miniatures, so you then need to bring a separate bag with all your gadgets, rules, dice, templates and other accessories too. With the use of the P.A.C.K. Molle Accessories you can now have everything safely stored in one bag.
Our favourite of the accessories is the Media Pouch as we can definitely see a use for some tablet computer storage with our bags, and this one is great quality. The Utility Pouch also stands out, you can keep some useful items in it while attached to your main bag, and then once you’ve arrived at an event, you can detach it, add the shoulder strap and carry it with you – perfect if you’re off to a tournament.

I always wondered how the accessories interacted with the case! Thanks for the photos. I imagine though, if you end up putting on all the accessories, it might make this bag a bit clumsy to cart around!
You’re right Greg, I wouldn’t personally cram the outside of my case with these, but there’s a couple that would be really useful and don’t protrude too much – I’m a big fan of the one that’s designed for a tablet.
